Felt a tad off it tonight so I didn't train, decided to head down still but with my camera handy. Got some nice shots of some of the boys training and Olay on the pads preparing for his upcoming fight against Mitchel Seth.
Enjoy...

Overhaul
I missing Thailand so much! Miss my new friends and all the people I left behind but, I don't want this blog to go to waste and be updated merely once a year when I go to Bangkok. I'll no doubt update this with updates on my training back home and also fight news if all goes to plan. As well as some photography due to falling in love with my EOS 550D DSLR. So I've decided to post some photos every now and then of photos I've taken and somewhat interest me.

Home, Home, Home
From shorts and singlets to jeans and hoodies. It's probably not even that cold just the sudden change from extreme heat to something mildly cold thats making me complain. Good to be back in my own warm bed though, a little too good come 630 in the morning when my alarms going off. I'm going to put together a bit of a photo gallery in the near future, just waiting on a few people to get back too so I can Hi Jack there photos. Too everyone I met in Thailand, I miss you like crazy. To everyone back home I'm glad to be back! To general stores in Perth, why cant you be more like 7Elevens. Cheap and good, not expensive and shit.

Halfway There
Just woke up in a backpackers dorm for the first time in Singapore. Was kinda wierd experience sleeping in a room full of strangers but that much better than sleeping at the Budget Terminal. Hope I didn't snore to much... Few more hours and back to Perth. Already missing Thailand but real keen to get back home and see my friends.

FML, Goodbye Thailand.
Shit... Last day at 13 Coins Resort and Gym. Going to miss this place, it actually feels like a home. I've met some really good people here, who I will be staying in touch with in the future. Some all time memories made and an experience I'll never forget. To everyone I've met on this trip I thank you for being some of the coolest people I've met and saying that we were the best Aussies you've met, even if you do say it to all the Aussies you meet. We know you really meant it this time. Saying goodbye to all the Trainers sucked, as too did saying goodbye to all the kids. Mickey, Mu, Gao, Fuk, Daad, Fa and the rest of them. Going to miss having Ou too hold pads and Sorn to annihilate me on pads. As well as Saenchai to embaress me any time we sparred, clinched or even crossed paths in the gym. Going to miss Orono's "MAJONG MAJANG" at the most random moments. I think I'm even going to miss Steve, the drunken Canadian guy who thinks I'm planning an invasion due to always being on my laptop. As well as the realllllly drunken German dude who's words are indescribable just as his karaoke skills are and his late night drunken shit talk and crying to the wooden post downstairs. Basically a lot of things!
Here's a list of the things we've done on this trip as well as the people we met and things I'm going to miss.
The Double McSpicy
The Americanas
The Rooftop Waterpark
My Thailand Whip
Saenchai Sor Kingstar
Cornering Lumpinee and Raja
Free Food Curtosey of Mr Coke
Being Raja Champion
Teaching English
Watching Tony Shower
Watching Seanchai Win
Hangin With Joshy
Majong Majang
Boon Shop
Hittin Pads With Ou
Aekapop and Ab
And the rest of these people!
Here's a list of the things we've done on this trip as well as the people we met and things I'm going to miss.
Hangin With JoshyI'm just about to head off to the Airport now so I can't write much more, but will post up a more detailed wrap up of the trip when I either get back home or need something to do in Singapore, for now.
Peace and Sawedee Krup and Majong Majang!

Daily Dime
Thursday started really slow due to celebrations with Saenchai and 13 Coins crew courtesy of Mr Coke. A few wines were had as well as a decent meal. Karaoke was sung and sung well, especially by Pornsaneh, Saenchai and Saenchai's wife. I think the whole tonal language thing makes Thais really good singers. Not many were seen come morning. Went down for breakfast about 10am and only found a few people that were up the night before. We headed to Abi and Aekapop's new place about 5 minutes around the corner. Had a quick look inside and it was very nice. For $180au a month it proves how expensive Perth really is. We hopped a taxi and headed towards Rajadenem stadium. Around the corner from Raja is an Amulet market just next to a big Buddhist temple. This is the temple Aekapop was once a Buddhist Monk. He recently derobed and returned to the world we know. One of the most humble and happiest people I have ever met in my life. I feel very honoured to have had the opportunity to meet Aekapop and sit in to one of his Muay Boran classes he frequently teaches. He tailored his lesson to suit our Muay Thai, with techniques and strategies we can apply to Muay Thai.
After visiting the market we took a boat back home, it was quite an experience to travel through central Bangkok by boat, after adjusting to the smells of course and the spray off the river. The evening consisted of a swim in the pool and a light dinner and not a lot more. Uploading photos and videos and updating blogs and websites then bed! Woke up this morning with some heart burn, possibly the most annoying feeling in the world. No training was on the cards due to this, just a trip to the local hospital... to use the general store, sike! Some breakfast and a nap and off to train this afternoon! Ohhh also, anyone thats seen Beautiful Boxer. Art the actor that plays Nong Tum trains here at 13 Coins so, another photo op was in order!
That is all, Peace!

Seanchai 3rd Round KO

Just got back in from Rajadernem Stadium after Seanchai Sor Kingstars fight against Nong-O. It was the fourth time the pair had faced off and Seanchai winning the last 3 Nong-O was out to prove something. Also in the running for Thailand's fighter of the year, Nong-O was requiring a win to get him over the line to take the prestige award. Unfortunately for Nong-O, he didn't do enough on the night. Going down in the third round to a flush hit from Seanchai's right, he went down and didn't get back up.
Seanchai of course put on a dance not long after the fight was called off. A quick photo op back in the dressing room and back off to 13 Coins was in order. Which leaves me here writing this entry, waiting for everyone else to get back. A special mention goes out to Tony, cornering Seanchai to victory! Of the four fights us farang have been in the corner for we've seen two unanimous wins and 2 early KO wins. I think due to this other gyms are going to start using farang in their corners.
The 2nd KO win was Jun at Lumpinee last night. He went straight to work with his plan of hacking the taller guys legs out from under him. In the second round he went low with the kick then followed with right hook to the face, this putting his opponent to the canvas for an 8. Jun sensed the win not to far out of reach and went in swing as soon as the Ref dropped his hand to resume the fight. Rushed the dazed nak muay and connected with a second flush right hook and then one more for good luck on the way down to the canvas for the final curtain.
In other news MrCoke has started renovations on the gym and is extending it out a little further and putting a fourth ring in. Should be decent because it'll allow more space for pad holders and Nak Muays and you wont be waiting on the bag for forever for a pad holder to call you in to do what ya came her to do.
Footage and more photos will be up on the blog in the coming days after some editing and rendering, but for now.
Peace!

Lumpinee Tonight!!
Tonight is the night that Mike and myself get to be cornermen yet again but this time at Lumpinee! This is the man who will be fighting, Longjun Jun. He has the meanest leg kicks I have seen and this will be his gameplan tonight. He has fought the guy before and lost narrowly on points so this time he is going to chop the taller guy down from the legs. Here's a few videos of Jun training at 13 Coins leading up to the fight.
That is if from me, had a quiet one yesterday but a really good training session. Rained hard this morning andwas kept up all night by thunder but still made the morning session, just. Was a good one though! Now off to Fairtex and a few other stores to pick up some final things, oooh and doing some Muay Boran tomorrow with a former Buddhist Monk and friend Aggepop.

7 Days Left... Shit
One more week left and I'm gone... That sucks. It's weird, a week in Thailand would be a holiday for anyone else but after being here for 3 already it feels as if it's already come to an end. Its gonna be a good week though! Cornering at Lumpinee on Tuesday for Jun the leg kicking mastah and Seanchai's fight the next night at Raja. Get my last bit of shopping done, got to go to Action Zone, Fairtex, Raja Store, Twins Store and a few other stores around BKK. Good thing taxis cost no more than $6.
Saturday night was a big one again. A lot of whisky and wine consumed by all, also got to photograph tony mid shower.
Como Estan Tony!
Didn't train Saturday morning due to Mike having food poisoning Friday night and wakin up to him poopin n spewing every hour or so. So had a good sleep in then went with the Canadian crew to Action Zone again to pick up some Sauna Suits for me and some friends back home. Ordered some gloves too yeow! Yellow and blue 10oz's ooooeeee! Had a personal with Ou again in the afternoon. He taught me some more effective combos and what not as well as honing in on my technique.
Dinner was gooooood, Coke shouted a few plates of food again which was sweet. Had the best fish and some papaya salad. Few glasses of wine and a banana split! ooooh how I love those things, big reason why I look forward to Saturday nights. Also taught two of the Thai boys some English whilst they taught us some Thai.
Mickey, Tony and Mu doin a Language lesson.
From here on it slowly became a blur... Whisky was drunk and spilled, benches were slept on as well as the floor in front of Taxis and phone credit was purchased.... In large quantities. Room service was required in the morning. Sausages, bacon and eggs! Chyeaaaah!
A trip to MBK was on the cards, purchased a few souvenirs and caught up with Joshay. Who seems to be living the dream in SE Asia. Scuba diving by day and DJ'n by night. Actually quite envious of his travels... prick. A quiet dinner was on the cards this evening and bed isn't too far away I either. This is it for now!
Peace!
